Yesterday we held our final bi-monthly Children and Young People’s networking meeting of 2023 at Pakistan Community Centre, where we saw presentations about some of the work currently happening in the city, and had the opportunity to network with a wide range of professionals working with children and young people in the city.
Thank you to our speakers from:
St James' Centre - Janet and Maryam presented about Neurodiversity Hubs and the offer within the city, as well as the potential to create a new Police Cadets group in Normanton and Arboretum.
MH:2K - Bhavan presented a report carried out by young people about young people's Mental Health in Derby and Derbyshire.
Volunteer Centre Derby and Team Kinetic - Kesha presented about the Volunteer Centre at the Shot Tower in Derby City, and the new Team Kinetic volunteering database.
Inspire and Innovate Fund - Helen presented about the Inspire and Innovate fund that the Youth Alliance can offer to network member organisations for projects targeted at key themes of need within Derby City.
White Ribbon Day - Helen presented the White Ribbon Day campaign video which had been created alongside the Voices in Action Youth Council and Adele at Derby City Council.
Thank you also to over 50 professionals who attended with open minds to collaborate and get to know each other with a view to improve and increase provision for our children and young people in Derby City!
