Last Thursday morning we held our bi-monthly Children and Young People’s networking meeting at St Alkmund's church, where we saw presentations about some of the work currently happening in the city, and had the opportunity to network and have round table discussions with a wide range of professionals working with children and young people in the city.

Derby City Council - Andy presented around Tackling Childhood Obesity in Derby, the statistics both locally and nationally and how a collaborative approach could help to improve the outlook going forwards.
Connected Perinatal Support - Nicola and Hannah gave us some information about their upcoming Perinatal Mental Health project and how we can promote and support this locally or take part ourselves.
Littleover Community School - Liz presented about her school and how parents and the older year groups aren't aware of the opportunities and support available in Derby City, and promoted a marketplace event that they are hoping to run in January with our support.
Derby Youth Alliance - Michelle informed the room about the Derby Youth Alliance website now being launched and live, and invited the group to send information for What's On, and Blog Articles for young people as well as reading the pages for professionals about the future CYPN meetings and how to access the Youth Alliance referrals for young people who they feel may need further support.
Thank you also to over 50 professionals who attended with open minds to collaborate and get to know each other with a view to improve and increase provision for our children and young people in Derby City!
